Winter cleaning

I don't know about you, but I always feel ... better... when it's time to clean up Christmas. 

There's more space, more light, less clutter. I'm sure it helps that we like to combine a whole-house clean with the putting away. Wiping down baseboards, rinsing screens and washing windows.

As we pulled down the tree, we noticed it had started to bud.. Or is the correct term "cone"? Anyway, I couldn't bear to throw away those cute baby pine cones...

But I seem to have baby on the brain lately. Yesterday, my dear friend gave birth to her second child.
Oh I love babies.
